IPBio has its first unit located in Betary Reserve, a 60-hectare preservation area. This region called Vale do Robeira holds the largest Atlantic Forest remaining area in Brazil. Our team, inspired by the richness of biodiversity, has been conducting a monitoring which generated a collection of pictures and videos with more than 15 thousand records of the habits and behaviors of living beings found in the reserve.

The OBBIO – Biodiversity Observatory is an IPBio project for the promotion of material obtained by network cameras recording fauna and flora 24 hours a day, which generate content and videos to be used in research and teaching.
