IPBio has acquired its second reserve in the municipality of Alter do Chão, in the heart of the Amazon, and is launching new research activities focused on local fauna and flora. IPBio conducts long-term wildlife inventories that are essential for understanding species trends and monitoring the effects of climate change. These are group-based, field research activities that require repetitive data collection over time to identify long-term patterns.
